ECO-LUXURY FROM CONNECTICUT COUNTRY CLOTHING
Connecticut Country Clothing is an eco-luxury brand designing high quality women's blazers which are fair trade, sustainable and plus size inclusive. Their designs empower confidence in the busy woman who needs to transition effortlessly between professional and personal life. They are committed to women's empowerment, and to social and environmental responsibility.
This brand was born from one woman's frustration in finding high-quality business dress casual blazers which provided a style dressy enough for work, chic enough for the evening yet comfy enough for the weekend - a truly transitional blazer. Finding a transitional blazer which didn’t look like it was strictly office wear was difficult - so she decided to design her own.
After decades of working in the corporate world as well as the fashion industry, and living in cities such as NYC, DC and LA, she had a strong sense of what a business dress casual blazer should be - and for certain - it needed to be stylish, functional and versatile - it needed to effortlessly transition from day to night, from the work week to the weekend and from professional life to personal life. Blending urban chic with rural comfort is at the heart of their designs; in short, polished but not fussy.
Sustainability is at the core of this brand’s mission, from ensuring they work only with those who pay fair wages, to choosing fabrics with a minimum impact on the environment. Their number one sustainability goal is for their blazers to be as close to 100% biodegradable as possible. They use sustainable on-demand manufacturing, which means the blazer is sewn to order (and ships in just three days!). This ensures no wasteful inventory is heading to a landfill. They also will be using new technology which allows you to measure your body with your phone’s sensors, and the software will suggest what size blazer you should order. This takes the guess work out of choosing the right size blazer. Hallelujah!
